Game Notes - Yesterday's Games

Scheffert Heating Up.  Although he hasn't been seeing many pitches to hit, Lincoln Southeast's Josh Scheffert is starting to assert himself.  The Nebraska recruit threw a no-hitter with thirteen strikeouts and hit his seventh homerun of the season yesterday against Burke in the Curt Shockey Invitational, which was won by the Knights.

Skutt shortstop Zach Mendlik attempts a diving catch on a ball ripped through the middle by Southeast's Josh Scheffert in the Championship Game of the Curt Shockey Invitational at Orval Smith Field in Ralston Friday night.  The ball went into the gap in left center for a two-run double, part of the Knights' seven-run second inning.  Corey Stringer had a solo homer for the SkyHawks, and Brett Swain doubled and tripled for Skutt.
